This is a great place to stay for 1 or 2 people near the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. I especially loved the private Loft/ Deck. I sat out there every morning with my coffee. In the evenings I watched the sun set over the pine trees while listening to the birds.

Excellent hosts, charming space, seamless experience. Would love to visit again.

We stayed at the spotted bear for a week to go hiking in glacier national park. The loft was a perfect location to go back and forth every day into the park.
The place was very up to date and stylish. Perfect for the two of us. It had everything we needed for this trip. We asked about a waffle maker and John provided one even! Th Bed was huge, firm and super cozy at the end of a long day. The balcony was beautiful to watch the snow come down. We made meals there every night in the kitchenette and saved lots of money. The loft wasn’t too far from other hotspots like Whitefish and Kalispell.
Checking In was super easy and we had everything we needed right at the loft. Keep in mind that this is the top floor of a house so there were people down below. We loved that it still seemed very private as we had our own entrance and parking spot. John was a gracious host when we had an accident and made a mess on something. He was very kind about it. Overall this was such a great place to stay for our trip and we were sad to leave it.

The cabin was far better than expected! Just a few minutes from town and less than 10 minutes from the west entrance. The cabin was truly spotless and was built with attention to detail. John provided plenty of local suggestions for food and activities. We also enjoyed the provided cookies and local beer. I would reccomend again and again!

Such an amazing stay at John’s place! It was so cute and cozy which was nice to come back to after a long hike. John was very responsive whenever we had questions. Very close to to the West entrance of GNP. Would definitely recommend staying here!

John is an awesome host! Extremely thoughtful and kind. Great place to unwind after a day exploring Glacier. Close to Hungry Horse dam…a must visit! Patio porch is the best feature on a rainy day. Just sit back and soak in the Montana air. Thank you again for all the goodies!!

The cabin was cute perfection. The added touches by our host were some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The kitchen has everything needed to feel right at home and the amenities were second to none. You’ll never regret staying here and John is a host willing to go above and beyond to make your stay everything you’ll ever need.

The loft was perfect for our stay in Glacier. Even though there isn’t a full kitchen, we cooked meals for breakfast and dinner everyday using the induction countertop burner. Would highly recommend!

We loved the location of the Spotted Bear Loft. The parking just outside the door was great as well. Located nearby to restaurants and stores but still in a quiet area. A short drive to the West entrance to Glacier National Park which is what we wanted. A nice and pleasant drive to Whitefish for a night out on the town. The interior was clean and had all needed to be really comfortable. The Ac worked great!

Clean place with all the basic amenities and close to many things in the west side of the park. The hosts were very helpful. We would love to stay here again.

This place is awesome! Seriously! We loved our stay and found it the perfect little retreat after a long day hiking in Glacier National Park. John is a wonderful host and the space is super clean, cosy, and had lovely little local touches. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Cozy cabin loft minutes from Glacier! John was an incredible host… cookies and local beer waiting for us upon arrival after a long day on the road. Very clean! Cute coffee/tea station in the kitchen. Super comfortable bed. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evenings. Would happily stay here again!

The blue cabin loft was well-appointed: from many varieties of coffee and tea, cookies and local milk as well as locally-brewed beer left for us to enjoy upon arrival, different types of pillows on the bed, thick fluffy towels, down to high-end shampoo and conditioner in the shower! I am short, and my hubby is of average height. We were very comfortable in the loft despite the A-framed ceilings. However we both have brothers over 6’ tall, and they would have been challenged in the bathroom. Likewise persons of large girth as the shower door is limited in how far it can open due to the slope of the roof. Also each step in the staircase seemed slightly taller than an average stair step. It wasn’t a problem at all for us, but if someone has challenges with stairs generally these might be harder than usual. All that being said, we had a great time while visiting both Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake, and this place was perfectly situated to enjoy both! We would definitely recommend the Blue cabin loft and John as a host!

Very cute and clean loft cabin space that was easy to find. Located very close to Glacier National Park west entrance and to many great dining options. John was quick with responses to question online and even met us in person to give additional dining recommendations and suggested hiking trail for me and my daughter. Wish we had booked an additional night there.

A wonderful stay!! John’s place was absolutely perfect for us, a couple roadtripping Montana’s national parks. The location was super convenient for two full days spent at Glacier, and there were plenty of good food options availabile in the surrounding cities including Whitefish! We grabbed tacos from Gringo’s right outside the park exit, and took them 10 minutes back to the Spotted Bear to enjoy on the covered deck. The apartment is comfortable, sparkling clear, and equipped with everything you need for an awesome few days – or longer! We’d happily stay again in the future.

The Spotted Bear Loft was amazing! Incredibly clean, had everything we needed for a great week long stay including a hot plate, dishes, a fridge, and coffee maker. John and his family were so thoughtful we had fresh flowers and cookies and coffee waiting for us on our arrival. Hospitality was top notch – tons of recommendations and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. We were 20 mins from Whitefish for breakfast and could be in GNP in 15. We enjoyed our stay so very much and will absolutely be back very soon! We can not recommend spotted bear loft enough- it truly felt like a home- the space is amazing and the hosts are even better!

This little bungalow was immaculate!John was there to greet us with the keys and point out local places for us to go. He also had local beer and cookies waiting for us in the cabin. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, and it was SO clean. Thanks John!

The studio loft at Spotted Bear Lodge was a perfect staging point for our visit to Glacier National Park. Very comfortable and well appointed space with tons of privacy. But it was also great that the hosts were nearby. Highly recommend
